Water Damage Restoration Process in Dentsville

The Water Damage Restoration Process in Dentsville, SC

The structural materials used during your home’s construction, such as hardwood flooring, drywall, wooden studs, and personal items like carpets, furniture fabrics, and draperies will quickly absorb water during a water intrusion. Shortly after the water makes its way into your home, a musty odor will develop.

Our expert water technicians can provide water damage restoration in Dentsville, South Carolina. We will use moisture detection equipment to search for and identify any areas or personal items affected by water, even in hard-to-find places like inside wall cavities or under different types of flooring. Our team of experts will extract as much water as physically possible during the water restoration, and then set up low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers and high-volume air movers to evaporate and dry any remaining moisture.

In just a few days, your home will be returned to its original condition, and your life will return to normal, with no secondary damage – and best of all, no concerns about mold.

Experiencing Water Damage in Dentsville

What to Do When Your Home is Experiencing Water Damage in Dentsville

In some cases, it can be at a very unreasonable hour that you wake up to a water leak or flood. How do you know who to call? The first thing you need to do is to not panic – just shut the main water supply off if you can. Then, you have three vital phone calls to make.

Who do I Call for Help?

The first call should be to a plumber to fix the water leak, followed by a call to a reliable water damage restoration company to extract the water and dry it. The last call should be to your insurance company. Depending on the time of day you may have to call your carrier directly because most agents will answer a call after hours.

After calling the water damage restoration company, try to identify the source of the leak as best as you can so that the contractors can immediately begin performing work upon arrival.

How to Identify the Right Water Damage Restoration Contractor in Dentsville

If you happen to come across a water damage restoration company across Google or through other means, ask about their rating with the BBB and if they are accredited and/or have any open complaints. Check whether they offer thorough inspections and estimates and if they will let you see the final bill before it is submitted to insurance.

Confirm with the water restoration business that they are fully insured – including pollution liability (mold). There are some restoration industry standards that should always be met.

Are they a locally owned restoration company in South Carolina, or will they take a while to arrive at your location? Do they offer a warranty, and is it a craftsmanship or product warranty? What kind of reviews do they have in Richland County, and are they all legitimate? What is their normal dispatch time frame, and how long will it take for them to arrive?

The basement was assessed for further damage, and the team helped to work with the homeowner’s insurance company to get the claims process started. The customer reached out because of a burst pipe that had caused their basement to flood. The Kingsley Restoration team showed up and removed the contents of the basement, and cleaned the area completely. Tiles and flooring were assessed for damage, and air scrubbers, air movers, and dehumidifiers were used to dry out the space. Antimicrobial solution was used on surfaces that had been impacted as well.
